CornerBridge and Concord Peer Support Mission

CornerBridge and Concord Peer Support serve consumers of mental health services. The our mission is to promote peer support as an effective means of learning alternative strategies to manage aspects of their individual circumstances. Peer Support encourages individuals to become more proactive in their recovery and thus more empowered. This is accomplished through educational, vocational, interpersonal, social, and spiritual opportunities. Support is provided in an atmosphere free of judgment, stigma, and medical model labeling; focusing instead on acceptance, validation, empowerment, and personal growth.

Our mission
The Lakes Region Consumer Advisory Board is composed of members that have been, or are presently involved in the mental health system.

Our primary mission is to advocate for, and empower persons; assist them the control their own lives and to influence and work jointly with resources that affect them.

We seek to remain cohesive, intact, and victorious.

We offer consistency, warmth, predictability, acceptance, appreciation, and within this framework we seek to flourish, and provide opportunities for education, information and referral.

We shall fervently embrace all of this and help members
reach their potential.

We shall be unyielding in meeting our goals, and respond to all the opportunities presented to us.
